The birds at this Nest love Lit’l Beef Smokie Sausages! I’ve made them at least a hundred different ways. All good, but nothing mind blowing! Then I wrapped them in bacon, sprinkled them with brown sugar, baked them till crispy with a delicious glaze….MIND BLOWN!

I love salads…but I’m lazy when it comes to making them. I don’t like prepping the lettuce! Pathetic…but true. Christmas morning is always a little “cray-cray” around this Nest! Even with all the crazy going on I wan the “birds” at this Nest to have plenty of steam to open up their gifts. So several years ago… I came up with this hearty, tasty, and easy Breakfast Casserole. It’s loaded with flavor, and protein, to keep them going throughout the morning…well that a little hot chocolate or spiced cider ought to do the trick!

These Christmas Sandwich Cremes have always been called “Hamburger Cookies” at this Nest and the Nest where I grew up. A delicate, flaky pastry cookie filled with sweet creamy filling…they melt in your mouth and are completely swoon worthy! You can take every other cookie off the Goodie Tray…just leave me my “Hamburger Cookies” and nobody gets hurt!

One of the “perks” of this time of year? Guilty Pleasure Desserts! This cake is a wonderful guilty pleasure. It’s everything you want a Holiday cake to be. It’s simple to make, moist, packed with buttery rum flavor, and crunchy delicious pecans. It melts in your mouth and has a “Swoon Factor” of 10+! I refuse to disclose how many slices I’ve had…just be warned…you may want to hide this one for yourself!
