I have been making this cake for years. Wherever I take it, it’s always a hit. Because of your innovative additions I feel as though I am making it from scratch.

Thank you for catching that mistake! Honestly I can proof read something 100 times and still miss it! I appreciate when issues like this are pointed out. I’ve correct the error. I hope the ladies in your church group enjoyed this favorite cinnamon cake!

I see that you posted this recipe in 2018 and I am surprised that no one has mentioned that the pudding quantity is not correct. The recipe looks like it says one box of pudding that weighs 3/4 ounces, but later in the instructions the quantity is correct at 3.4 ounces. Surely I am not the only one to notice that.

Looking forward to baking this and I am sure it wll be wonderful. I am making this for our Bible & Breakfast group that meets tommorrow since it is my turn to serve the breakfast part. As you can imagine the ladies in our group try to come up with new and delicious things to serve.

Hi Lana!
I understand your concern. The cake has never fallen for me. I do it very carefully. The problem with putting the streusel on before baking is that it sinks into the cake during baking. So I have found that sprinkling it on top about 3/4 the way through baking works great.

I really want to make this cake but concerned about half way through the baking open the oven and sprinkle the streusel on top. Will this make the cake fall? I am making for a group.

Hi Barbara,
It for sure could burn do to the crumb topping and the butter. You won’t achieve the same results of a crumb topping. Hope this helps a bit.
