I also agree on frying extra bacon. One year my husband took a basket out of the freezer to find something underneath and forgot to put the basket back in the freezer. This was the basket that held our freshly boughten bacon from the butcher – packages and packages of them. We couldn’t refreeze them – so what to do!! We fried them all up – we were frying for awhile that evening. We put them all into ziploc bags and then into the freezer. I loved having this ‘already fried’ bacon on hand.
