Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie

Sharing is caring!

Flaky pie crust filled with ooey-gooey Chocolate Chip Cookie filling! It’s the best of both worlds. Cookie and Pie come together to crate the BEST dessert! Top it off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a chocolate drizzle.

Have you seen it? The million pins of the chocolate chip cookie pie on Pinterest this past month or have you been visiting another planet?!

It’s actually an original recipe from Allrecipes.com.  (I also have the recipe below that you can print off) I love Allrecipes! I have found some of my nests very favorite recipes on their site.

Last Sunday, I REALLY wanted something ooey… gooey… rich… and chewy! Something that would make my eyes roll back in my head and personally thank my lips! You gals understand. Sometimes we just need a rich dessert!

Well, I went to my Pinterest board and found this delectable mouth watering masterpiece! It was a cookie and… a pie! Brilliant! I decided to give it a try and see if it could live up to all the hype it was receiving!

I mean sure, the pictures had me wanting to lick the screen but, I’ll be honest, I’ve tried some recipes that had awesome pictures only to find out that they were much better on paper than in my stomach! (If ya know what I mean?)

Processed with MOLDIV

I’m happy to report that this is a recipe that lives up to its hype! Seriously, it deserves every accolade it receives! The first bite and I wanted to find the creator, kiss them, and hand them their golden ticket into the pearly gates! (Some things just automatically earn you a free pass! This is one of them. The inventor of pantyhose…not so much so!)

It is everything you expect out of a warm, fresh from the oven cookie, only in a pie! It’s chewing and gooey on the inside with a crunchy outer layer on top.

Throw in a light flaky crust and from top to bottom, front to back, you’ve got yourself one amazing dessert! Top it off with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, drizzle it with some dark chocolate syrup, and WHAM!  Perfection on a plate!

Rich Semi-sweet Chocolate Chip Pie

It’s a simple dessert to make. You’ll have all the ingredients in your cupboard. It serves up beautifully and everyone will be sitting around your dinning room table licking their forks with their eyes rolled back in their heads!

It just doesn’t get any better than that! This is a recipe that is graduating into my permanent collection. (The highest honor bestowed upon a recipe. Hee, hee)

Have a wonderful day and enjoy! Thanks for stopping by my nest! If you try this recipe let me know. I’d love to hear from you. I really would!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie

An amazing rich chocolate chip cookie pie!

Prep Time 20 minutes
Cook Time 55 minutes
Total Time 1 hour 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9 inch deep pie pastry
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Beat eggs in large mixer bowl on high speed until foamy and pale in color. Beat in flour, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Beat in butter until combined.
  3. Stir in morsels and nuts. Spoon into pie shell. The mixture will be thick.
  4. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between edge and center comes out clean. You may want to make a foil tent over the pie towards the end so the crust doesn't brown too much. Cool on wire rack. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
