Yes! I would put them in the freezer for 10-15 minutes after forming them into logs. Depending on how much the dough is handled during the time that the dough is rolled out and the temperature of your home, the butter can soften too much and spread the cookie during baking. I’m so sorry this happened to you. This is such a yummy cookie.

Yes these can be frozen. I freeze mine every year with a layer of wax paper or parchment between the layers. How long they last after baking depends on how hungry you are…lol. Just teasing. They will last up to a month in the freezer and like I said I usually put mine in an air tight storage container with layers of wax paper between. I’ve found this works best. They are a fantastic shortbread type cookie with a wonderful hint of orange combined with chocolate…a fantastic adult cookie.
