@norine@norinesnest.com, I just wanted to let you know that I did try the recipe today and used only a wooden spoon for mixing since I do not have a standup mixer… It turned out spectacular! I loved it! I’m not very good at making bread and it turned out moist and delicious! Thank you so much for sharing your recipe with us!

Hi Lisa!
If you don’t have the dough mixture attachment I would mix by hand using a wooden spoon and then knead by hand as well. You’ll need a little super woman strength but it will work better than your electric mixer. It might too much for it. Hope this helps.

Hi Janette,
I don’t generally have all the butter and sugar melt out. A tiny bit yes, but not all of it. I am thinking if you baked this for an hour then the bread was overbaked and the heat caused all the butter and sugar to melt. I’m curious where you came up with an “internal temperature of 190F?” The tea ring should not need to bake for more than 30 minutes. If the bread springs back when pressed and is golden brown, it is done.
