Good recipe~ didn’t have slivered almonds I’m sure it would have made a difference. I did add frozen green beans just to have some veggies. Will definitely make it again with the almonds.

This is really yummy but I love my Aunt Hazel’s version even more. She added a can of cream of chicken soup and three boiled eggs in hers. I would urge you to try it out sometimes!!

I made it this evening, it's currently in the oven baking.. baking.. I cannot wait till it comes out! YUMMY! I'm so excited! I literally haven't had this casserole since I was about 10 years old... This is a good base recipe. I found it to be a bit boring so I added frozen corn, sliced water chestnuts, golden raisins, then for seasonings I added quite a bit of garlic and onion powder and curry powder. Used half sour cream and half mayo. This was a real hit! Obviously it’s not the exact recipe but you might want to try these extras…
