You sweet heart! Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us. I was just like you when I first heard of “dumplings”. I thought…”Nooooo!” Then Aunt Janie made us chicken and dumplings one winter and I was hooked!!! So good! I love visiting with friends…it’s even better when the friend is your cousin! Love ya girl! So happy you loved this recipe.

Thumbs up!! This was delicious and a recipe that I will definitely be repeating. I saw your photo of it and was immediately drawn in…until I found out it was dumplings. You see, I had never had dumplings in my life and wasn’t sure what to expect. I was imagining some kind of soggy, doughy bread lumps in soup. But I just had to try it because it looked so good, and the recipe was so easy. I was so pleasantly surprised! The dumplings turned out great. I “get it” now. They just work. Not soggy, not doughy. The soup was delicious and the perfect amount of “sauce” for the dumplings. I ate two whole servings, even though one was quite filling. My husband and I agreed that we should make this for his parents when they come to visit again. We think they’ll love it!!

Thank you for the kind compliments! I’m so glad you like this dish. Sometimes I get idea’s and I’m never sure how they will turn out…I think I know…but I’ve been a little surprised sometimes. You are so welcome! Sometimes a recipe doesn’t photograph as well as I want it to…which makes me really sad, especially when it is super easy to make and SO yummy. I want that to come across in the photo’s. This was one of those recipes I worried about. I just hoped that “true” dumpling lovers would get that big ol’ cheesy fluffy lump sitting in the middle of that creamy broccoli soup! Thank you so much for your sweet words. Ya made my day! 😉
