Hi Susan!

Yep! This recipe needs to be made as written using the little Kraft Caramel baking chips/balls. That way you get little bits through out the candy and they are softer than wrapped caramel.

I bought wrapped caramels and put them in but didn’t cut them up. It took too long for the caramels to soften after the chocolate was melted.

I do, however, have a bag of Kraft caramels. Do you think I could chop my caramels up a bit and use them instead of the caramel bits?
