Hi Donna!
When I make this recipe for a crowd, I generally bake it for an hour and 15 minutes to an hour and half. I poke the potatoes with a fork in the middle of the casserole (the outer edges cook faster) to make sure they are tender. Hope this helps! It’s always a favorite at our Nest. Enjoy!

This recipe sounds delicious! If I would want to double or triple the recipe for a larger crowd, do you have any suggestions on how to adjust the time in the oven so the larger quantity of potatoes all get done?

Hi Tracy!
I completely understand! There are only two of us left here at this Nest for the majority of the time! Finding recipes for two is a little tough…I have found that most of my recipes work great for two if you just cut them in half and for the most part it works with the majority of them…maybe not the pies and cheesecake…but do we really only want two servings of dessert? lol Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit with me. Hi Sue!
This really isn’t a “loaded baked” potato casserole but it is a loaded scalloped potato, meaning that I’ve added bacon and other ingredients not generally found in scalloped potatoes. I’m so sorry this recipe was disappointing for you. Hope you had a good Easter and a I hope you have a wonderful week.

Hi Connie!
Same thing happens over at this Nest. It’s hard after years and years of cooking for so many to reduce my thinking. We loved this recipe and it was nice not to have to eat them for three weeks! I mean…they’re good…but not that good. lol
