Ingredients

  • 1 30 ounce bag Ore Ida Crispy Crows, Frozen
  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • ¼ cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Tablespoon Season Salt Your choice of seasoning
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 slices Cheddar cheese Cut into 1-inch squares.
  • 12 individual Grape tomatoes Cut in half
  • 24 individual Dill pickle slices drained
  • 1 cup Lettuce leaves Torn into bite-sized pieces

Instructions

  • Per the package instructions, preheat the oven to 425° (F). Place crispy crowns on a 11x17 baking sheet in a single layer. Season with seasoning salt of choice. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • While the tater tots are baking, place one pound of ground beef in a medium-sized bowl. Add bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, and ground beef seasoning of choice. Mix until well combined. Using a tablespoon scoop, make 20–24 small patties. About 1½ inches in diameter and approx. ¼ inch thick.
  • In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, cook the patties for 3–5 minutes per side until the juices run clear, and the meat is browned. Turn off the heat. Add 1–2 squares of cheese per mini patty. Cover the skillet with a lid to melt the cheese.
  • Slide the crispy crowns onto one side of the baking sheet. On the other half, place 1–2 sheets of paper towel. Place cooked hamburger patties on the paper-toweled lined side of the baking sheet.
  • Gather the remaining ingredients. To assemble mini cheeseburger sliders, begin by threading one crispy crown onto a bamboo skewer. Next add half a grape tomato, then the cheeseburger patty, then the pickle, lettuce, and one more crispy crown. Serve immediately with secret sauce. Makes 20–24 mini burgers. *Secret Sauce recipe below in the notes.

Notes

To make the secret sauce, combine 1 cup mayonnaise, ½ tablespoon prepared mustard, 2½ tablespoons ketchup, 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish, and 2 tablespoons Frank's buffalo sauce. Mix until combined. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Store up to 2 weeks in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
To serve this appetizer hot, place the tater tot crowns and mini-burgers on the skewers and keep warm in a low oven (200°) up to 30 minutes until ready to serve. Serve tomatoes, pickles, and lettuce on the side for guests to add to the skewers.
