Valentine M&M Chocolate Chip Blondies

- 1½ cups brown sugar
- ½ cup butter (no substitutes), melted
- 2 large eggs beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup M&M's Valentine colors
Preheat oven to 350°(F). Grease a 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan.
In a large bowl, combine the brown sugar and butter. Add eggs and vanilla, stir just until blended.
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to brown sugar mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and half of the Valentine M&M's. Spread into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the top with the remaining M&M's.
Bake in a preheated oven for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars. Yield: 3 dozen
