Pumpkin Streusel Muffins are the perfect Fall breakfast treat! I think Linus should have waited up for these and not “The Great Pumpkin!”. This pumpkin muffin is so moist and packed full of wonderful Fall spices… like cinnamon, all spice, nutmeg and clove. It’s topped off with an amazing cinnamon brown sugar streusel that is finger licking good! Then drizzled with a vanilla icing! It all comes together to make the most amazing Pumpkin Muffin you will ever eat!
It could be my English blood, but I love muffins, biscuits, and scones! I’m a huge fan of baking powder and baking soda breads! They are so easy to make when you are in a hurry and looking for something yummy! When done right they are light, flaky, and a carb lovers dream come true! Last week I was looking for something to smother with my freshly made peach jam. These Peaches and Cream scones filled the bill! I think you’ll love them as much as we did!
It’s September and the “Pumpkin Spice Fairies” are out in full force sprinkling their Fall spices on everything pumpkin bloggers are baking! They even came to my Nest and helped me create this wonderful Pumpkin Spice Bubble Bread. Made with Pillsbury Grand Homestyle Biscuits this beautiful pastry can be made in a matter of minutes so that you have time to do the things you enjoy doing this time of year…like raking leaves…lol! (Where are the Fall fairies for that!) You’ll love this recipe and the fact that your guests can take a little or a lot…perfect for those breakfast nibblers!
Happy Monday! I’m starting this week out right by sharing my VERY favorite Bran Muffin recipe with you. WAIT! Don’t Run Away! I promise this is not your typical “rubber ball” bran muffin. It’s light, airy, moist, flavorful and will be one of your family’s very favorite muffin recipes. Best part…(there’s always a “Best Part”)…you can make them up today and store them in your refrigerator for up to 7 weeks and bake them off when needed. Some tonight…some next week! This recipe ALWAYS receives RAVE reviews! I promise…cross my heart! Don’t let that “B” word scare ya!
I’m sharing my “Nest’s” favorite dinner roll recipe! It’s a copy cat of the Lion House recipe that my sister-in-law, Debbie, shared with me years ago. It makes the most wonderful traditional dinner rolls you’ll ever have! They are huge, fluffy, and melt in your mouth moist! Slap some butter and raspberry jam on them and it’s the next best thing to heaven on earth! The best part…you make the dough in your bread machine! WoooHooo! You remember bread machines right?
I. Love. Pastries! Especially French Pastries! Too bad I can’t just pop on over to France and grab a box full! The great news is with this awesome apple danish you don’t have to. With just one can of crescent rolls and this quick easy fresh apple filling you can bring the “danish love” to your Nest’s kitchen! You are going to love how easy this recipe is and how delicious! With apple season right around the corner you’re gonna want to make this delicious breakfast treat often!
It’s the weekend! Time to celebrate with this easy breakfast treat! These delicious raspberry chipotle filled sugar donuts are just what this weekend calls for! They are super easy to make with only 5 ingredients and you can fill them with whatever you like! If Chipotle isn’t your thing…no sweat! Come join me and my “carb lover’s” addiction by whipping up a batch of these amazing gems! You’re gonna thank me! Come on…ya know ya want to!
Vacation is over and it was wonderful! Sigh! 10 glorious days with my favorite person on planet earth! I promise the “wrap up” is coming but, in the meantime let’s chat about my love for pancakes! I have always…YES! ALWAYS…I’m not exaggerating… loved pancakes! I honestly do not know how any breakfast food with the word “cake” in it could not be loved?! After 9 days of vacationing and eating out every day, I woke up yesterday wanting a good ole homemade breakfast! (No offense to the new Carl’s pretzel breakfast sandwich. Which I may or may not have had…) When it comes to Saturday or Sunday morning breakfast it has to be something different than every other cold cereal breakfast day of the week! I think of… fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy fried bacon, and…pancakes! Like I said, I’ve loved them for as long as I can remember!
