Today I’m talking about my constant cruelty to the perfectly harmless banana! It’s true. I mistreat them something horrible. In my defense I do turn them into amazing, wonderful treats. Like these scrumptious Banana Crumb Muffins! Friends…that “crumb”!!! These muffins are THE BEST!
Breakfast
Christmas morning is always a little “cray-cray” around this Nest! Even with all the crazy going on I wan the “birds” at this Nest to have plenty of steam to open up their gifts. So several years ago… I came up with this hearty, tasty, and easy Breakfast Casserole. It’s loaded with flavor, and protein, to keep them going throughout the morning…well that a little hot chocolate or spiced cider ought to do the trick!
Any breakfast lovers out there? They say it’s the most important meal of the day…”They” haven’t met dessert! However, this stuffed Breakfast Calzone may prove them right! Refrigerator pizza dough is stuffed full of everyone’s breakfast favorites. Best part? Totally customizable. If you don’t like my favorites…no problem…change it out for yours. I’m even sharing how you can make this ahead of time and serve it during the work week. So come join me for breakfast! (Don’t worry…there’s a cake on the counter too! lol)
Looking for the perfect Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffin for the Fall Festival Bake Sale at the School? Well it’s right here! These muffins are moist and every bite has yummy soft chocolate chips! Seriously one of the best and easiest muffins you’ll make this Holiday season! You have got to try these!
Is there anything better than a hot, light, and crispy Belgian Waffle for breakfast? YES, there is! It’s this fresh Blueberry Banana Belgian Waffle. A fluffy light thick delicious waffle with hints of banana and fresh warm juicy blueberries in every bite! This is what happens when you have no patience to wait to make Banana Blueberry bread. I’m so glad I’m not a patient person. You will be too!
Looking for a really scrumptious breakfast pastry that will feed a crowd? This is it! I’m having this love affair with Wewalkausa refrigerated puff pastry. It offers so many delicious options. Today I’m sharing my recipe for Cherry Lemon Danish. It may seem like a crazy combination…but the flavors are AMAZING together…plus there are those 64 flaky layers!
I love coffee cakes with that cinnamon sugar crumb topping! So, it would only make sense that I would LOVE a baked donut with that same yummy mouth watering crumb topping. I can’t claim this recipe as my own… because it isn’t. This one belongs to Ashley at Baker By Nature. I did do a little “tweaking” by adding chopped almonds to the crumb mixture and a splash of buttermilk to the dough for a little extra moisture. Who needs a donut shop when you can have these ready in a matter of minutes!
I love puff pastry. It is not something, however, I will EVER make from scratch. I’m just not that insane….yet! I think one of the most mouth-watering experiences is walking into a pastry shop with every kind of magical danish calling to you from behind the glass. You just know it will be love at first bite. These little Cherry Cream Cheese Knots are just that type of Danish and best part…You made them!
A year ago I discovered I had a secret Quiche lover living at my house. You’ll never believe who it was? I’m still in shock! So just to test if they truly were as much a Quiche lover as they claimed to be…I made this ultra delicious loaded vegetable Quiche. Three slices later it…yup…it passed the test! Quiche is a perfect brunch dish. It’s easy to make yet elegant to serve!
If you want to elevate your brunch game, and who doesn’t… you have got to try these amazing light and flaky buttermilk scones! I made them for my Mother’s Day Brunch. To say they were the most delectable scone I have ever had would be an understatement. What I love about this scone recipe is how easy it is to make with ingredients you probably have on hand. Honestly this recipe will not disappoint. I promise! (I take scone promises VERY seriously!!!)
