If you’re looking for a dinner that feels fancy without all the fuss, this Viral Trader Joe’s Lobster Bisque Pasta is about to become your new go-to! I’m in L.O.V.E. with this recipe friends! (I may have licked the bowl clean…don’t judge me until you’re doing the same!)

Every few weeks on my Instagram account, I make a “Viral” or “TikTok” recipe and share it in my stories with my followers. Some are epic fails, and others, like this one, really are as good as the hype they’re receiving! This one blew my mind and I knew I had to share it with all of you!

Made with just a handful of simple ingredients—starting with your favorite store-bought rich and creamy lobster bisque soup—it’s the perfect blend of comfort food and coastal flair. Toss it with your favorite pasta and a few easy add-ins, and you’ve got a restaurant-quality meal on the table in under 20 minutes. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it’s absolutely packed with flavor!!!

  • 16 ounces fettuccine, or pasta of your choice
  • ½ cup onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1–16 oz. container of Lobster Bisque – I used “Panera” Lobster Bisque from Kroger’s/Smith’s.
  • 1-12 oz bag of frozen Langostino tails-thawed
  • 1 pint cherry, or grape, tomatoes, halved (optional)
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese + more for serving (grated)
  • Fresh basil, or Italian parsley for serving (optional)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Olive oil
Ingredients for Lobster Bisque Pasta.

As stated above, this dish comes together quickly! You want your pasta cooked and ready to go!

Begin by boiling a large pot of water to cook pasta to al dente according to the package instructions. While the pasta is cooking…it’s time to begin making the lobster sauce.

In a large skillet, over medium heat, add a little olive oil. Add the onion and garlic. Cook 2–3 minutes until soft and tender.

Cook onions and garlic in skillet over stove.

Add cherry tomato halves. Please note this is completely optional. If you’re not a fan of tomatoes, you can certainly leave them out. (I have a nest full of strong “to-mater” haters! Sigh!)

You can substitute sun-dried tomatoes for fresh tomatoes. They would be amazing in this dish!

TIP: This is where you can get creative…you can add fresh spinach leaves, asparagus, and other favorite vegetables.

Cook until the tomatoes begin to soften.

Adding cherry tomatoes to onions and garlic.

Add the thawed Langostino’s Lobster Tails.

I know some of you may not know what “Langostino” Lobster Tails are? So let’s chat about them for just a minute.

Langostino Lobster tails are not really “lobster” in the sense we think of traditional lobster tails. Langostino Lobsters are actually the edible tail meat of a “squat lobster” (I have a feeling if I were a lobster, this is the type of lobster I’d be! Lol). They are related to hermit and porcelain crabs. The flavor is delicate and sweet. It leans more towards the texture of shrimp than lobster.

That being said, you can substitute shrimp in this recipe for the Langostino Lobster tails if you prefer. I love the Langostino lobster tails, but you do you!

Add Langostino's tails to onions, garlic, and tomatoes.

After adding the lobster tails, add the container of Lobster Bisque. This is the “genius” of this recipe! I can completely understand why it went viral.

TIP: This was originally a “Trader Joes” viral recipe. However, we don’t have a “Trader Joes” in our little country town, so I purchased Panera’s lobster bisque and it was delicious! Any brand you like will work perfectly with this dish.

Adding lobster bisque to the sauce.

Add the lemon zest, lemon juice and ½ cup Parmesan cheese. Give it a good stir and continue cooking until the cheese is melted and everything blends together.

The lemon zest and juice add a spark of fresh flavor to this seafood dish.

TIP: You can also add a splash of white wine for additional flavor.

Adding cheese, lemon zest, and lemon juice.

To the skillet, add the cooked and drained pasta. The pasta will thicken the sauce.

Add pasta to lobster bisque sauce.

Toss until the pasta is well-coated with all that scrumptious seafood-loaded sauce! Garnish with freshly chopped Italian Parsley or Basil, and more freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

Right about now…you’re looking for a fork!

This dish is perfect for any occasion when you crave something effortlessly elegant and utterly satisfying. I honestly felt like I had just created a five-star restaurant dish! We gobbled up this dish almost as quickly as it came together.

I highly recommend serving this dish with hot crusty French bread or my soft garlic breadsticks. You’re going to need that bread to chase down every last drop of sauce from the plate!

Yes! I am speaking from experience. My granddaughter and I lapped up every single drop of that sauce with our bread! (I felt no guilt and contemplated turning this into a dipping sauce recipe!)

Whether you’re whipping this up for a cozy weeknight dinner or impressing guests with minimal effort, this Lobster Bisque Pasta proves that delicious doesn’t have to be complicated or overly expensive. The cost of this dish is around $20 and serves 4.

I suggest serving this dish with my Wedge Caesar Salad and Easy Homemade Garlic Breadsticks.
