How To Make Fanta Jack O’lantern Floats

Start off by drawing jack-o-lantern faces on your plastic cups. Don’t worry. You don’t have to be a great artist for this task! You could even let the kiddo’s draw the faces!

Growing up I used to watch my Mom make Homemade Root beer floats. She had this little “trick” she did with her ice cream floats. She claimed it gave the floats a nice creamy frothy “head” like a mug of beer! (It makes my Mom sound like a bar-maid! Which I can assure she was not! But she did wait cars at a local burger stop! Same-same right? Lol)

Anywho… She would place 2 or 3 Tablespoons of vanilla ice cream in the bottom of each glass, followed by 2–3 Tablespoons of soda.

Cups with several tablespoons of vanilla and a few ounces of soda.

Then she would combine the two by stirring them together. It created this rich thick froth that rises to the top when you finish making a float. So this step is completely optional…but it does work well.

Frothy cream at the bottom of each cup.

TIP: To give your float a surprise, drop a few candy eyeballs and gummy worms into the bottom of the glass. This will make your drink even more thrilling as your guests reach the bottom. (Or more scary! I’ll let you decide!)

Begin assembling your Halloween float by scooping a generous amount of vanilla ice cream into each glass. The creamy base of this drink will contrast beautifully with the orange Fanta.

Finishing Fanta Floats

Slowly pour orange Fanta over each of the individual scoops of vanilla ice cream. The Fanta will create a bubbling and effervescent effect, adding an extra layer of spookiness to your drink.

Tip: If you want your drink to be an even more vibrant orange, you can add a few drops of orange food coloring. This step is entirely optional, as the Fanta is already quite colorful.

No Halloween drink recipe is complete without a generous dollop of whipped cream. You can make homemade whipping cream or use the handy dandy easy canned whipped cream!

Place a heaping pile of whipped cream on the top of the ice cream, making it look like a fluffy cloud of spookiness. Boo!!!

Sprinkle the top of each pile of whipped cream with fun Halloween sprinkles, and gummy pumpkins to finish off this fun Halloween drink!

This is a spooky, fun, Kid-friendly Halloween drink that all your little boo’s, ghosts, witches, and goblins… with a few superheroes thrown in…will L.O.V.E.! I know because all my little spooks loved it. They thought it was so much fun!

I was pleasantly surprised how much this ice cream float tastes like an orange creamsicle! It’s the best Spooky Halloween Treat! The total time to make this sweet treat is mere minutes! What Mom doesn’t love a quick Halloween snack?!!

It’s so much fun making these spooky drinks! They are the perfect treat for your next Halloween Party! I caught the Halloween Spirit making these festive yummy floats!
